A Story Worth Telling

University Marketing and Communications is evolving to meet Wake Forest’s strategic ambitions. This team of eclectic talents enjoys the distinct privilege of connecting, crafting and amplifying the story of a school and community Unrivaled by Any.

Formerly referred to as Communications and External Relations (CER), the team transitioned into an administrative unit distinct from University Advancement in the summer of 2024 in recognition of the mission-critical nature of marketing and communications work. Our collection of creators, media experts, print and digital craftspeople, event planners, strategists and image makers work alongside our campus partners to bring the Wake Forest experience to life for her many audiences.

Strategic Communications

We find and tell the Wake Forest story, then connect it to a wide range of audiences. We manage the institution’s public image and messaging to align with its goals and values. We help others across the University do the same.

Account Management

Account Management, UMC’s primary point of contact for our campus partners, facilitates team integration within UMC and efficiently allocates resources for strategic messaging, brand management and optimal benefit to our institutional partners and the University.
