Over the last few months there have been quite a few changes that have been made by Siteimprove and UMC that affect how you use Siteimprove. A breakdown of these changes and updates can be found below. Please make sure you familiarize yourself with this information as most of it applies to all WFU Siteimprove users.

Siteimprove is now Siteimprove.ai

This summer, Siteimprove did some re-branding and updated the look-and-feel of their platform. The design has been changed slightly and they have re-branded themselves as Siteimprove.ai. As far as I can tell, nothing has changed with how modules and the features within them are structured or organized. In other words, everything should be where you left it (or are used to it being).

You have access to better SEO data.

The SEO Enterprise module is now part of our subscription. While some features are currently being vetted by UMC and are not active yet, we have made some SEO and search metrics available to all users. We hope these will help you better understand your site’s SEO performance and provide the tools on how to fix related issues.

Key features include:

  • Your site’s SEO score
  • SEO issues and recommendations
  • Search terms (what keywords and phrases users are using to find your content)
  • SEO analytics

It’s recommended that all users take advantage of the data provided in this module. A presentation on this was offered this semester, but if you weren’t able to attend, it will be posted to the Digital Content Strategy Presentations page in the coming weeks.

We updated the Siteimprove/UMC website and added training videos.

This fall, the Siteimprove section of the UMC website went through some pretty notable changes. In addition to a new look-and-feel for the homepage, we:

  • Added new content sections: Core Wins and Policy. A section for SEO will be added soon.
  • Included step-by-step training videos within the Siteimprove Quality Assurance section. That’s right, if you enjoy listening to me drone on and tell you how to do things, you’re in luck. Whether you’re a first-time user, need a refresher on how to fix a broken link, or just want to try and better understand the readability of your site content, you can now watch a video on that.
  • Updated screenshots and how-to steps to reflect the changes Siteimprove made to their platform over the summer.
  • Added and updated Siteimprove.com resource links.

Additional training videos may be added in the future.

Note: As a bonus, in certain sections within Siteimprove you may see how-to videos that have recently been added by Siteimprove towards the top of the page (see below).

You’ll no longer receive a QA report each month (but you’ll get something better).

To make sure the Siteimprove reports you receive at the beginning of each month provide you with reports that will help you stay focused, you’ll notice some changes to what shows up in your inbox starting November 2025.

  • You will no longer be sent the Quality Assurance Dashboard Report each month. Instead, you will receive the Site Issues and General Health Report. Unlike the QA Report that included everything found in the QA Dashboard, the Site Issues and General Health report contains a snapshot of your site’s performance and will help you see what the most important QA, SEO, and Accessibility issues are that may be creating a negative experience for your users.
  • SEO information has been added to the Analytics Dashboard and Report.
  • The Quality Assurance Dashboard now only contains reports and data from that module so you can stay focused on what’s impacting the health of your site.

New Behavior features: Struggle Detection and Session Replays

Struggle Detection and Session Replays were added to the Marketing Analytics module in October. These new features are supposed to help content owners and site editors better understand where users on their site are struggling (measured by rage clicks and excessive scrolling), and also provide a look at how some users interact with your website.

Not all features are currently available to every WFU Siteimprove user.
